Professional experience
David Baltazar, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist committed to delivering exceptional skin care in Arizona. His expertise encompasses medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, addressing a broad spectrum of skin conditions and performing advanced dermatologic procedures.
Dr. Baltazar began his academic journey at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He furthered his education at the same institution, obtaining a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After practicing as a physical therapist for several years, he pursued a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon, graduating in 2019. He then completed a Preliminary Medicine Internship at HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Arizona, followed by a Dermatology Residency at HonorHealth, where he was appointed Chief Resident in his final year.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Baltazar is an active member of the Arizona Medical Association (ArMA), serving as At-Large Director and AMA Alt Delegate. He also holds the position of Advocacy Ambassador for the Skin Disease & Surgery Association (SDSA). His dedication to healthcare advocacy was highlighted when he served as ArMA's Doctor of the Day at the Arizona State Capitol, engaging with Representative Joseph Chaplik to discuss the value of healthcare from a physician’s perspective.
Dr. Baltazar's contributions to dermatology have been recognized with several honors, including being named a Castle Connolly Rising Star in 2024 and a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in 2025.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Baltazar enjoys running, golfing, and staying active.
